| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field portrays a mother giant panda and her cub seated together amidst a bamboo grove, rendered with fine frosted relief detail against a burnished background. The mother panda occupies the upper right of the field, facing left with a calm expression, while the smaller cub is positioned in the foreground to the lower left, turning toward the viewer. Bamboo stalks and foliage fill the background, adding naturalistic depth to the composition. The legend 1/10oz Au.999 appears along the upper left arc of the field, denoting the gold content and fineness. The denomination 50元 is inscribed in bold characters at the base of the design. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
China's Panda gold series deliberately omits a face value from most international collector editions, but the 50 Yuan denomination was retained for domestic legal tender status throughout the 2000s. Each year's Panda issue carries a unique design — a policy enforced since 1983 and a calculated decision that drives annual collector demand by eliminating the possibility of a generic type set.
The 2005 issue was struck at the Beijing and Shenyang mints, identifiable by mint mark on authenticated pieces.
