| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red and orange tones on a light ground, with an elaborate central guilloche medallion bearing the denomination characters 伍拾圓 (Fifty Yuan) in large script. Flanking oval cartouches at left and right carry the branch overprint 重慶 (Chungking), and the four corners display circular rosette vignettes with the denomination repeated. The bank title 中央銀行 appears in bold characters across the top panel, with the promise-to-pay legend and date inscription 中華民國十七年 at the foot. |
