| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in red on a light guilloche underprint, the reverse centres on an intaglio vignette of a grand imperial palace complex in Peking, rendered in fine line engraving with flanking trees to the right. Denomination numerals "50" appear in each corner within ornate cartouches, and the value inscription "FIFTY YUAN / NATIONAL CURRENCY" is set within a scrollwork panel below the architectural vignette.
