| Reverse description | Printed in olive green, the reverse is arranged symmetrically with a large guilloche rosette at center bearing the numeral 50, flanked by corner numerals 50 at all four angles within an ornate engine-turned border. The English inscription BANK OF SHANSI CHAHAR & HOPEI appears along the top, with FIFTY DOLLARS and LOCAL CURRENCY on either side below it. At the bottom, FIFTY YUAN / LOCAL CURRENCY and the year 1945 are inscribed within a panel, and two manuscript signatures appear across the lower portion of the central vignette. |
