Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a dynamic beach volleyball scene in high relief against a mirror-polished field. Two athletes are depicted in mid-air on opposing sides of a net, one player spiking the ball while the other leaps to defend, with a sandy beach court and crowd barrier rendered in the background. The denomination 50 VATU appears in the left field, while the legend OLYMPIC GAMES 2012 arcs along the upper border. A partial inscription referencing the London 2012 Games is visible along the lower field.

Aanvullende informatie

Vanuatu's Olympic commemorative program has produced numerous issues across multiple games cycles, nearly all struck by outside mints under contract — the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu has no domestic minting facility. These pieces circulated as legal tender in name only; the face value of 50 vatu represented a fraction of the silver content's worth at issue, and virtually none entered everyday commerce.
