| 裏面の説明 | A majestic dragon rendered in high relief dominates the reverse field, depicted in dynamic form with scales, claws, and flowing details characteristic of traditional Chinese iconographic convention. At the centre of the composition, a gilded sphere — symbolising wisdom and prosperity — is held or encircled by the dragon. The design draws on Chinese cultural symbolism in which the dragon represents good fortune, strength, and power, rendered with rich surface texture against a detailed background. |

Vanuatu has operated a small but deliberate bullion and collector coin program since the 1980s, largely marketed to the Pacific rim and Southeast Asian collector base where dragon motifs carry consistent commercial demand. The Reserve Bank issues these pieces under licensing arrangements rather than through direct minting infrastructure — Vanuatu has no domestic mint.
The 50 Vatu face value is a formality. No 500g silver piece ever circulates.
