50 Tiyin

附加信息	The tiyin subunit was introduced alongside the sum in 1994 as Uzbekistan established its own currency following independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Inflation rendered the lower denominations nearly worthless almost immediately after issue, and by the late 1990s the 50 tiyin had effectively vanished from circulation — not withdrawn, simply ignored. The coins were minted but rarely spent.
