| 背面描述 | The large numeral '50' dominates the central field in bold relief, rendered in a clean, modern typeface. Below the numeral, the denomination in Georgian Mkhedruli script — თეთრი ('Tetri') — is inscribed in smaller lettering. A small stylised ornamental motif, resembling a wing or scroll device, is positioned beneath the denomination legend. The rim is bordered by an inner ring of evenly spaced raised dots forming a complete circle around the design. |

Georgia's post-Soviet coinage was introduced in 1993 alongside the lari system, which replaced the short-lived Georgian coupon at a rate of one lari to one million coupons — itself a measure of how badly the early transition economy had collapsed. The 50 tetri denomination sat in an awkward middle position during this period, too valuable to ignore but too small to matter much in a country where informal dollar and Russian ruble transactions dominated daily commerce well into the 2000s.
