| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Kazakhstan occupies the central field, depicting a shanyrak (the upper dome of a yurt) with sun rays radiating outward, flanked by mythical winged horses (tulpars) and crossed ears of wheat, with the inscription КАЗАХСТАН on a ribbon below. The circular legend reads ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ around the upper periphery, with decorative dot separators, and the mint mark ҚҰБ appears to the right of the arms. The denomination 50 ТЕҢГЕ is inscribed in large numerals across the lower portion of the field, with ornamental foliate devices flanking the numeral.
