| Obverse description | Central field features the emblem of Astana, depicting a stylized shanyrak (the circular crown of a yurt) surmounted by crossed uyk (roof poles) at the top, with a tulpar (winged horse) motif rendered in traditional Kazakh ornamental style below. The design is set within a double circular border. The Cyrillic legend ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ arcs around the upper periphery, with АСТАНА inscribed across the lower central field, and the mint mark ҚҰБ flanking the emblem at the sides. The date 2015 appears at the bottom of the coin. |
