Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark green, centered on a large allegorical vignette of a seated female figure holding a caduceus and resting beside a large medallion with a scenic landscape, accompanied by an eagle to her right, all executed in finely detailed intaglio engraving. The denomination numeral 50 appears in large format guilloche panels to both the left and right of the central vignette, with corner counter numerals and ornate floral guilloche borders framing the entire design. The issuer name BANCO DEL PICHINCHA is set in bold letterpress along the lower margin, with the printer's imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK below.
