| Obverse description | The obverse features the Bulgarian state coat of arms at centre, depicting a crowned shield bearing a rampant lion, supported by two rampant lions on either side, with a decorative ribbon and crossed branches at the base. A royal crown surmounts the shield. The engraver's initials 'R.P.' (Rudolf Pribiš) appear in small lettering below the coat of arms. The Cyrillic legend БЪЛГАРИЯ curves along the upper rim, while ВЪ ЕДИНЕНИЕТО Е СИЛАТА ('Unity Makes Strength') runs along the left and right sides of the field. |
