正面描述 Central vignette presents a portrait of Qurmanjan Datqa (1811–1907), revered Kyrgyz stateswoman and political leader, rendered in a detailed engraved style against a patterned guilloche underprint. The denomination '50' appears alongside Cyrillic inscriptions identifying the issuing authority. The overall colour scheme employs warm tones with fine-line security printing throughout.

背面描述 The reverse presents a vignette of the Özgön architectural complex, comprising a minaret and mausoleum, among the most significant surviving monuments along the Great Silk Road in Kyrgyzstan. The structures are rendered in fine line-work against a guilloche underprint with the denomination repeated in Cyrillic script. The composition conveys the historical and cultural heritage of the medieval period.

备注

Kyrgyzstan introduced its national currency, the som, in May 1993 — less than two years after independence — replacing the Russian ruble at a time when hyperinflation across the former Soviet space was accelerating. The 1994-dated notes of this series represent the second wave of som issues, filling denominations needed for practical daily transactions once the initial release proved insufficient for the range of prices then in circulation.

The watermark is the sole security feature, modest even by early-1990s standards. The printing contract for this series went to Harrison and Sons of England.
