Obverse description Black intaglio on teal underprint with red serial numbers. The left field carries an allegorical female figure holding a shield charged with five camelids alongside the Peruvian coat of arms, while a large Roman numeral L dominates the centre; a seated allegorical woman with child occupies the right vignette. The note bears the date LIMA JUNIO 30 DE 1879 and is fully executed in the fine line-engraved style characteristic of American Bank Note Company issues.
