Obverse description At centre, the State Emblem of Uzbekistan is set within an ornate cartouche against a guilloche underprint in brown and orange tones; to the left, a vertical arch panel carries intricate Islamic geometric tilework in orange and white, echoing the architectural ornament of Central Asian monuments. The large numeral '50' and Cyrillic inscription ЭЛЛИК СЎМ appear below the emblem, while the serial number and date '1994' are positioned to the right alongside a rosette numeral panel. Institutional and legal tender inscriptions in Uzbek Cyrillic run along the upper and lower margins.

Reverse description A panoramic vignette of Registan Square in Samarkand occupies the central field, presenting the three historic madrasas in fine intaglio line work: Ulugʻbek Madrasa to the left, Tillakori Madrasa at centre, and Sherdor Madrasa to the right, set against a guilloche background. Traditional Uzbek national ornamental borders frame the composition on all sides. The denomination in Cyrillic and an anti-counterfeiting warning inscription appear below the central vignette.
