| 裏面の説明 | Central design features a stylised hibiscus flower (Bunga Raya) in high relief, its rounded petals radiating symmetrically from a raised central boss. Superimposed upon the flower is the denomination 50 SEN in bold raised numerals and lettering. The country name INDONESIA arcs along the upper periphery in large capital letters, while the date 1955 is inscribed along the lower rim. Four small rosette or star ornaments are evenly spaced around the lower field, flanking the date. |

KM#Pn2 designates this as a pattern issue — struck for evaluation purposes and never approved for circulation. Indonesia's monetary infrastructure in the mid-1950s was still consolidating after independence, and Bank Indonesia was actively testing denominations and alloys before committing to production runs. The copper-nickel composition here was one of several tested against aluminum and bronze alternatives for the smaller sen values.
Pattern survivors are almost exclusively found in institutional or specialist collections.
