Obverse description Central vignette of a dragon amid clouds, with a circular coin motif at centre bearing a hole, all set against a fine guilloche underprint in blue tones. Reverse description Uniformly patterned blue guilloche border frames a central rectangular panel containing vertical Chinese-character text with anti-counterfeiting warnings. The denomination '50 SEN' appears in Western numerals and Latin script at upper left and upper right corners, with the large Chinese characters '五拾錢' displayed across the lower portion of the central panel. A diagonal red 'specimen' overprint is visible across the face of the note, and two cancellation punch holes are present.
