| Popis líce | The bimetallic obverse features the denomination numeral '50' prominently in the centre of the copper-nickel inner disc, surrounded by an octagonal arrangement of the nine provincial coats of arms of Austria in relief. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the legend 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' along the upper arc and '· SCHILLING ·' along the lower arc in raised Latin lettering. The engraver's initial 'H' and surname 'WÄHNER' appear as a small signature within the inner disc. The nine heraldic shields are arranged symmetrically around the central denomination, rendered in fine detail characteristic of the Vienna Mint's craftsmanship. |
