备注

ORI — Oeang Republik Indonesia — was the currency the republic printed for itself after declaring independence in 1945, in direct defiance of Dutch attempts to restore colonial economic control. The third series, issued in 1947, appeared while the Dutch were actively conducting military operations ("politionele acties") against the republic, and the notes were produced under genuinely difficult conditions, printed domestically rather than by any established security printer.

That domestic printing origin matters. Paper quality and registration consistency vary noticeably across surviving examples, not from mishandling but from the production constraints of a wartime government printing operation. The 50 Rupiah denomination in this series is among the more frequently encountered, but examples with clean, unbroken folds are harder to locate than raw survival numbers suggest.
