| 正面铭文 | LIMA PULUH RUPIAH BANK INDONESIA GUBERNUR DIREKTUR |
| 背面描述 | Central architectural vignette of the Great Mosque of Deli (Masjid Raya Al-Mashun) in Medan, rendered in fine intaglio line work, with its characteristic multiple green domes visible to the left and a tall minaret to the right, set against a landscape with palm trees and a reflecting foreground waterway. Ornate Baroque-style scrollwork panels flank both sides of the central scene, and the denomination numeral '50' is repeated in the lower left and lower right corners. A strip of fine anti-counterfeiting legal text runs along the bottom margin. |

| 备注 |
The 1957 series was among the first fully centralized post-independence issues from Bank Indonesia, replacing the fragmented colonial-era currency structure that had persisted well past the 1945 proclamation. Thomas De La Rue handled production in London — not unusual for newly independent nations in this period that lacked domestic printing infrastructure and needed internationally credible notes quickly.
Pick 50 is notoriously prone to foxing and humidity damage, a chronic problem with Indonesian notes of this era given storage conditions in the archipelago's climate. Survivors in genuinely clean condition are less common than catalog frequency suggests.
