Obverse description At centre, the State Emblem of India — the Lion Capital of Ashoka — is depicted in high relief, showing three lions atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a horse and bull. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) appears in Devanagari script. The denomination '50' with the Indian Rupee symbol (₹) is inscribed in the lower field. The legends 'भारत' in Devanagari and 'INDIA' in Latin script arc along the left and right periphery respectively.
