Reverse description At the centre of the reverse, a downward-pointing equilateral triangle frames a group of four figures representing a planned family: a woman in a sari and a man standing side by side, each holding the hand of a small child, rendered in bold relief. Flanking the lower sides of the triangle are two crossed ears of grain, symbolising the FAO theme of food for all. The date '1974' is inscribed within the lower portion of the triangle, with the mint mark 'B' just below it. The circular legend is divided into bilingual inscriptions: in Latin script 'PLANNED FAMILIES : FOOD FOR ALL' and in Devanagari 'नियोजित परिवार : सब के लिए अनाज', running around the full periphery of the field.
