| Obverse description | The central vignette presents the newly constructed Manampitiya Bridge, with the older combined road-and-rail bridge visible to its left and a faint archival vignette of a historical railway arch bridge rendered as a ghost image above both structures. To the right, the Sri Lankan Dull Blue Flycatcher (Eumyias sordida) appears as a color vignette, while the Blue Oakleaf butterfly (Kallima philarchus) is positioned to the left.
