| 备注 |
Banque de l'Indochine issued this note for Pondicherry and the other French Indian establishments — Karikal, Mahé, Yanam, and Chandernagore — where the unit of account was the rupee, not the piastre used across French Indochina proper. The denomination in both French and English on a single note reflects the administrative awkwardness of governing enclaves surrounded entirely by British India.
Marguerite Dreyfus, who signed her engraving work as "Rita," was among the more accomplished intaglio engravers working through the Banque de France's workshops during this period. Two signature combinations span the full date range, with the Minost & Laurent pairing generally associated with the later wartime issues.
