| 备注 |
The Turkestan District notes of 1918 were produced under conditions of near-total isolation. After the Bolshevik seizure of Tashkent in late 1917, the region was cut off from central Russian currency supplies, forcing local Soviet authorities to print their own emergency issues. The Tashkent printing facility had limited equipment and ink stocks, and it shows — the series is notoriously uneven in impression quality across surviving examples.
Turkestan would remain a contested zone for years, with Basmachi resistance ongoing well into the 1920s. Notes from this issue circulated in genuinely unstable conditions.
