附加信息	Part of the Bank of Russia's ongoing architectural series documenting Orthodox religious sites, this issue commemorates the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in Foros, Crimea — a structure built in 1892 on a cliff above the Black Sea at the order of Alexander III, reportedly to mark the miraculous survival of the imperial family in the Borki train disaster of 1888. The church fell into severe disrepair during the Soviet period, used variously as a restaurant and a warehouse before restoration efforts began in the 1990s following Ukrainian independence. The Foros church gained unexpected geopolitical visibility in August 1991, when Mikhail Gorbachev was placed under house arrest at his nearby dacha during the failed coup attempt against him.
