The central motif features the Order of Victory, a prominent Soviet military decoration, within whose center are depicted the Moscow Kremlin wall, the Spasskaya Tower, and Lenin's Mausoleum, the whole enclosed by bands of laurel and oak leaves. The inscription ПОБЕДА (Victory) appears within the design. The legend СССР is inscribed in the field, and the date 1945 appears in the exergue, flanked by decorative stars, commemorating the Soviet victory in World War II. |
