Obverse description At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, as designed by Ivan Bilibin, occupies the field. To the lower left of the eagle appears the metal designation and fineness (Pt999), while the mint mark (ЛМД) is positioned at centre below the device and the fine metal content (7.78) appears to the lower right. A beaded inner circle frames the central design. The upper arc of the legend reads '50 РУБЛЕЙ 1993 г.' and the lower arc reads 'БАНК РОССИИ', both inscriptions running along the outer rim.

Reverse description At centre, a graceful ballerina is depicted mid-dance in classical ballet pose, rendered in high relief with fine detail highlighting the flowing tutu and extended limbs. The figure is set against a plain field, emphasising the elegance and movement of the design. The Cyrillic legend 'РУССКИЙ БАЛЕТ' (Russian Ballet) curves along the upper portion of the rim, encircling the central motif.
