Obverse description The obverse features the Russian state emblem in the form of a double-headed eagle with wings displayed, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ (Fifty Roubles) is inscribed in Cyrillic across the upper arc, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) appears along the lower arc, both separated by dot ornaments. The fineness designation Au 999 is incused to the lower left, the weight 7,78 to the lower right, and the date 2014 Г. is prominently placed at the bottom of the field. The Saint Petersburg Mint privy mark (СПМД) appears at the lower right near the eagle's tail. The overall design is framed by an inner beaded border.
