| Obverse description | Horizontal format note with a central text body in Cyrillic script, flanked on the left by a vertical guilloche panel bearing the numeral '50' within an ornate oval cartouche. The main text field states the obligation of the Provisional Government of the Northern Region to pay the bearer fifty roubles at the Regional State Bank, dated 15 February 1919, with the place and date of issue given as Arkhangelsk, 15 August 1918. Three manuscript signatures appear below the main text — those of the Chairman of the Provisional Government, the Head of the Finance Department, and the Manager of the Regional State Bank — followed by a serial number at lower left, with French-language marginal inscriptions running vertically along both side borders. |
