A central medallion carries an ornate circular vignette with Arabic script identifying the Azerbaijani Republic, flanked symmetrically by arabesque cartouches bearing the numeral 50 in stylised Perso-Arabic script on the left and the numeral 50 in Cyrillic-accompanied Western numerals on the right.
