Reverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio view of the Exchange Building (now the Naval Museum) on Vasilyevsky Island, St. Petersburg, with a rostral column visible to the left of the facade, all reflected over the waters of the Neva. A decorative cartouche bearing the inscription «САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГ» is positioned below the central scene, flanked by the large numeral «50» to the right rendered in multicolour guilloche underprint. The right half of the note is occupied by an elaborate rosette and interlocking guilloche pattern in pastel tones, with denomination numerals «50» set within guilloche medallions at upper corners.
