| 正面描述 | The national emblem of Tajikistan is positioned to the left, set within an ornate frame with scrollwork. At centre, a large guilloche vignette contains the denomination numeral "ПАНҶОҲ РУБЛ" in Tajik script. Denomination numerals "50" appear in two cartouches at upper right and lower left, the lower one with a red underprint rosette, and a smaller red "50" in a guilloche oval at lower right. The date "1994" is inscribed within a small oval cartouche at the base of the central vignette. |

| 备注 |
Tajikistan's first national currency, the Tajik rouble, was introduced in May 1995 to replace the Russian rouble — but the notes themselves, including this 50-rouble piece, were printed in advance and carry the 1994 date. The republic had remained in the Russian rouble zone longer than most former Soviet states, partly due to the civil war that erupted in 1992 and made monetary reform a secondary concern to basic survival.
The series was short-lived. Hyperinflation rendered low denominations like this one functionally worthless within months, and the entire Tajik rouble was retired in 2000 in favour of the somoni.
