| Reverse description | Central field displays a four-line Arabic inscription identifying Muhammad III al-Sadiq as the Bey of Tunis, with the denomination '50' and the Hijri date '1281' (corresponding to 1865 AD) arranged within the legend. The text is enclosed by a finely detailed wreath of two palm or olive branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, mirroring the obverse design. A small decorative finial or tughra-like ornament appears at the apex of the wreath above the legend. The beaded border frames the design uniformly around the periphery. The composition reflects the dual authority of the Ottoman sultan and the Tunisian bey, characteristic of Tunisian pattern coinage of this period. |
