Obverse description The Weimar Republic eagle displayed in high relief at center, with wings spread and head turned to the left. The bird stands atop a decorative foliate base composed of oak branches, with additional oak sprigs flanking the lower field on both sides. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the legend DEUTSCHES REICH arching along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals. The mint mark J appears in the lower field beneath the eagle's talons.

Reverse description The large numeral 50 occupies the central field in bold relief, flanked on either side by small floral rosettes. Above, the word REICHS arches across the upper portion of a circular oak wreath, while PFENNIG curves along the lower interior of the same wreath, together forming the denomination REICHS-PFENNIG. The date 1926 appears at the base of the design within the wreath. A beaded border runs along the outer periphery of the coin.
