| Obverse description | The Weimar Republic imperial eagle displayed facing forward with wings spread, head turned to the right, rendered in bold relief at the centre of the field. Oak branches flank the base of the eagle on both sides, their leaves extending along the lower periphery. The curved legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with the Hamburg mint mark J visible at the bottom of the field below the eagle. The design is framed by a fine beaded border. |

| Reverse description | The large numeral 50 dominates the centre of the field, with the inscription REICHS arching above and PFENNIG curving below, together forming the denomination legend around the numeral. The date 1926 appears in the lower exergual area. The entire central design is encircled by a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, tied at the base, with small rosette ornaments flanking the numeral. A beaded border frames the composition. |
