| 背面描述 | A tall, upright fasces-like tower or bundle of rods rises from a low base at the center of the field, flanked symmetrically by oak branches bearing stylized leaves. Three ribbon banners wind around the tower in a spiral, each bearing part of the inscription reading 'EINIGKEIT / UND RECHT / U.FREIHEIT', the opening line of the German national anthem. The mint mark 'F' appears in the lower exergue beneath the base of the tower. |

The German monetary reform of 1923–1924 replaced the catastrophically inflated Papiermark with the Rentenmark and later the Reichsmark, triggering an urgent redesign of the entire coinage system. Several experimental compositions were trialed before final types were fixed — this brass Probe (pattern) for the 50 Reichspfennig was part of that process. The production type ultimately adopted was struck in aluminum bronze, making this brass variant an artifact of bureaucratic deliberation rather than public circulation.
