| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the crowned arms of Navarre, consisting of an elaborate cross pattée composed of chains with globular terminals radiating from a central lozenge, forming the traditional escutcheon of the Kingdom of Navarre. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and arched elements. The mint mark 'P' (Pamplona) and denomination mark '50' appear in the field flanking the shield. The entire central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads PHILIPPVS IIII D GRACIA in Latin capital letters, separated by small pellets, running within a plain outer border. |
