| Poznámky |
The Real was introduced on 1 July 1994 as the centerpiece of the Plano Real, Brazil's successful stabilization program that finally broke the hyperinflationary cycle that had consumed the country for over a decade. The earliest series of this 50 Reais note — A0001A through roughly A1338A — were printed without the phrase "Deus Seja Louvado" ("God Be Praised"), an inscription added mid-production starting at series A1339A and retained on all subsequent printings through the end of the D-series.
That omission in the earliest runs makes the first signature pairing — Cardoso and Malan — particularly interesting to variety collectors. Production was split between Casa da Moeda do Brasil and Oberthur in France, with the B-prefix Oberthur sheets identifiable by series code rather than any visible printer's mark.
