Obverse description	Facing bust of Major General Aung San, hero of Burmese independence, rendered in low relief at centre. A circular Burmese-script legend surrounds the effigy, reading 'Union of Burma, People's Bank' along the upper arc. Two star ornaments flank the lower legend, which gives the Burmese era date 1328 BE in Burmese numerals along the lower arc.
