| 表面の説明 | The obverse is dominated by a spray of gorse to the right and a Cryptic Wood White butterfly vignette to the left, with a pine marten vignette at the upper left. The design employs the characteristic colour palette and integrated security elements of Ulster Bank's 2021 polymer series, with the issuer's title and promise-to-pay legend rendered across the face. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse places a pine marten vignette at the upper right, balancing a central vignette of a scientist in a laboratory setting to the left; further vignettes of a loom worker and aircraft construction appear to the right, collectively evoking Northern Ireland's industrial and scientific heritage within the polymer substrate's clear window elements. |

Ulster Bank's 2021 polymer £50 is notable for being issued under particularly uncertain circumstances — by this point, Ulster Bank's parent NatWest Group had already signalled its intention to withdraw Ulster Bank from the Republic of Ireland market entirely, a process that began formally in 2021. Notes continued to be issued for Northern Ireland operations, but the long-term future of the brand was already compromised at the moment of printing.
Ulster Bank notes circulate as legal currency in Northern Ireland under the Bankers' Notes (Ireland) Act 1845, backed pound-for-pound by Bank of England assets held in trust.
