Obverse description Central field features the Eagle of Saladin displayed with wings spread, facing forward, its body rendered in relief against a plain field. Above the eagle, a stylized lotus flower motif crowns the design. Flanking the eagle, the Arabic legend جمهورية مصر العربية (Arab Republic of Egypt) appears in two lines across the upper field. The denomination is indicated in both Western numerals (50) and Eastern Arabic numerals (٥٠) to the left and right respectively, with the Latin abbreviation A·R·E inscribed within the arc of the eagle's wings. Dual dating appears along the lower periphery in both the Hijri year (1415 / ١٤١٥) and the Gregorian year (1994 / ١٩٩٤), with the Egyptian Mint mark (ECC) struck in the exergue below the eagle.

Reverse description The reverse presents a large, finely detailed relief depiction of Ta-Weret, the ancient Egyptian hippopotamus goddess associated with fertility and protection in childbirth, rendered in the style of a faience statuette. The figure is shown in left-facing profile, standing on a flat rectangular base, with lotus and papyrus motifs and protective amulet symbols incised upon her body in the tradition of ancient Egyptian decorative art. The surrounding field is unlettered and plain, bordered by a continuous inner ring of beaded denticles and an outer reeded rim, allowing the sculptural figure to dominate the design. No legends appear on this face, giving the reverse a purely iconographic character befitting a commemorative issue in the Ancient Egypt series.
