An Arabic inscription on a scroll appears above the bird, and the state name in Arabic is rendered on a ribbon below the shield. The denomination is shown in Arabic numerals and script (٥٠ جنيه) to the left of the arms, and in Western numerals with Latin script (Ls. 50) to the right. In the lower field, the Hijri year ١٣٩٨ appears to the left and the Common Era year ١٩٧٨ to the right, flanking a small mintmark. |
