| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a draped neckline with a pearl necklace. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the left rim and 'ALDERNEY' along the right rim, both in raised Latin lettering. The date '2005' appears in the lower exergue.
