Obverse description Portrait of President Nimeiri at left, rendered in intaglio against a multicolour guilloche underprint. At centre, a circular vignette bears the Arabic inscription for Nimeiry Port for petroleum export, framed by ornamental scrollwork. Denomination numerals appear at lower left and lower right, with the date and Arabic text of the issuing authority carried across the upper field.
