Opmerkingen

The P#103 series spans an unusually long window — fourteen years across a period that included the Lebanese Civil War, Syrian military entrenchment in Lebanon, and the country's deepening economic isolation from Western institutions. The Central Bank kept this denomination in continuous issue rather than redesign, suggesting both institutional conservatism and the practical difficulty of commissioning new plates under those political conditions.

Watermark-only security on a fifty-pound note this late into the 1980s was already behind regional norms, and counterfeiting pressure on the series was documented before its eventual withdrawal.
