| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a detailed panoramic view of the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in Jerusalem, rendered with the characteristic dome and flanking minarets; a large crescent moon shape frames the lower portion of the architectural scene. Above the mosque, two ornate medallions are prominently displayed in the upper field, inscribed respectively with 'الله' (Allah) and 'محمد' (Muhammad) in stylised Arabic calligraphy within decorated circular cartouches. An Arabic legend appears at the top of the field reading 'القرن الخامس عشر الهجري' (The Fifteenth Hijri Century), commemorating the advent of the 15th century of the Islamic calendar. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
