| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a panoramic view of Islamic holy sites, dominated by the Dome of the Rock mosque at left with its distinctive dome and minaret, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex extending to the right, all rendered in fine relief against a stylised mountainous horizon. Rising centrally above the architectural panorama are two ornate medallions: the right medallion inscribed 'الله' (Allah) and the left inscribed 'محمد' (Muhammad), joined by a decorative floral stem. An Arabic inscription in a calligraphic hand arches above in the upper field. The composition is framed within a double border of fine reeding, emphasising the piedfort thickness of the flan. |

Sudan's 15th Hijrah Century commemorative series marked the Islamic calendrical milestone of 1400 AH, which fell in 1979–1980 CE. The piedfort format — struck at double the normal thickness on a standard-diameter planchet — was produced specifically for collectors and presentation sets, with no circulating equivalent in copper at this denomination.
KM#P10 is among the heavier piedfort issues from African central banks of this period, when several newly independent states used commemorative coinage programs partly to generate hard currency through numismatic sales abroad.
