| Obverse description | The arms of the Republic of the Philippines occupy the central field, featuring a quartered shield with a sun and stars above, an American eagle at lower left, and a lion at lower right, all rendered in fine relief. A scroll beneath the shield bears the motto ISANG BANSA ISANG DIWA (One Nation, One Spirit). The circumferential legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 50 PISO appears in large characters along the lower rim. Two five-pointed stars flank the denomination at the base, and a beaded border frames the entire design. |
