The issuer name 'SUDAN CURRENCY BOARD' is lettered in a arched banner at the top, with 'FIFTY PIASTRES' in a straight panel at the bottom. Corner roundels carry the denomination numeral '50' in green against a fine lathe-work underprint covering the entire field.
